Red Wing Shoes SS17 Footwear Collection
Having been making high quality footwear for well over a century, Red Wing Shoes have just dropped their spring/summer collection for 2017. As you’d expect, the collection features a plethora of heavy duty leather boots as well as some immaculately-styled Oxfords and chukkas.
The highlight of the collection is the new Merchant Oxford. A new addition to the Red Wing line-up, the new style is available exclusively in Europe in two colour ways. Classically-crafted with a streamlined look, the Merchant Oxford comes with a comfortable Chemigum Cork sole for long days on your feet.
The Merchant takes its style from the 1920’s 245, which comes with a missing toe-box, as well as a triple-stitched quality, a Goodyear welt construction and S.B. Foot Tanning Co. leathers for a durable, smart-looking shoe.
We also love the 2017 version of the Postman. Dating all the way back to 1954, like many of Red Wing’s creations, the Postman was introduced to aid specific job works. As such, the Postman features a humble construction to make long journeys as comfortable as possible.
Called simply the No. 101, this year’s Postman sees new colourways added to the range to with Red Wing’s new thinner white Atlas ‘Lite’ Tred sole for excellent grip, as well as the signature Goodyear welt construction and durable leathers from the S.B. Foot tannery.
The other highlight of the SS17 collection is the new Weekender Collection, which features a range of chukkas and Oxfords. Each footwear features a flexible and lightweight alternative to the traditional Goodyear welt, while still featuring Red Wing’s ComfortForce footbed.
The Red Wing Shoes SS17 footwear collection is available now over at the Red Wing London Website.
