1990 Riva Ferrari 32 Speedboat
If you’ve always wanted own your own Ferrari but you’re more of a high-waves than a highways kind of Joe, then feast your eyes on this 1990 Riva Ferrari 32 speedboat, one of only 30 models that’s ever been built. And the best news is, it could be yours to own as it’s going up for auction at Sotheby’s later in the year!
This 1990 speedboat really is a beauty and it’s a perfect example of what can happen when two great automotive minds come together. Italian boat specialists Riva teamed up with the iconic prancing horse for an all-Italian exclusive project with the aim to produce a speedboat that was as luxurious as it was fast.
The hull of this speedboat was rendered in Ferrari’s hallmark ‘Rosso corsa’ (deep Red to you and me). Made with an accompanying carbon-fibre spoiler that arches over the vessel and extended transom, the Riva Ferrari 32 was built to resemble the sleek characteristic of a Formula 1 car. We reckon they succeeded!
Boasting two 390hp V8 Vulcano 400 engines, the Ferrari 32 is capable of hitting up to 62mph – believe us, when you’re on water it feels a whole lot more than that! There’s also a couple of other cool specs, including a cuddy cabin in the ship’s bow and an automotive-style steering.
The 1990 Riva Ferrari 32 Speedboat is set for auction at Sotheby’s Monaco series on the 14th May 2016, where it’s expected to reach around $150,000 (£105,000). It’ll certainly be cheaper than a LaFerrari anyway! Keep an eye on the Sotheby’s Website for any updates.
