We’d like to introduce you to Aston Martin’s rather tasty new V12 Vantage S. It has been produced alongside a host of other Aston’s to celebrate the firm’s centenary this year.
This new release is not just an aesthetic facelift from the old V12 Vantage, as alongside the remodelling the Vantage S boasts a new 5.9 litre V12 which has come from the Vanquish, a new adaptive suspension system with three different settings, as well as a reworked exhaust system giving the V12 a louder and more vivid grumble. You can expect the usual carbon-ceramic brakes to keep all that power under some control and the Vantage S even comes with a Sport button that changes the throttle response, shift time and even the note of the engine!
The bodywork shows off some delectable carbon-fibre intakes on the hood, a new front splitter, rear diffuser and curvaceous lip on the boot lid finishing off a rear end Kylie Minogue would be proud of.
Performance wise, with the weight saving tactics which have been employed through the use of a more lightweight paddle-shift gearbox and lighter rims the new Vantage S is capable of producing 565bhp and achieving a pretty impressive top speed of 205mph.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S will go on sale later this year and should cost in the region of £150,000. We’re just going to check our piggy bank.
