Audi Q5 gets subtle update
If you want to get my attention, launch your new car in green. I’ve always been a fan of green cars and thankfully car manufacturers are starting to take note of the rising popularity of cars in various earthy hues. The new Audi Q5 is the latest car to be featured in green and hopefully you’ll agree, it really suits it!
The new Audi Q5 is a subtle update and from most angles, looks almost exactly like the last version. The biggest visual change is the front grille. Audi’s design language throughout the years can often be traced by the shape of the grille. The current design of the grille is wider and darker than before. It looks more aggressive and gives the car a sportier look. Vorsprung versions get next generation digital OLED lighting too.
Inside there’s an upgraded cabin with Audi’s latest touch-screen MMI. The MMI Navigation Plus, Audi Connect and Audi Virtual Cockpit are now standard across the range.
Under the bonnet a lighter, cleaner and more powerful 2.0 TDI stars from launch but more options, including two plug-in hybrid TFSI e variants, will follow at a later date. The new 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine’s peak power has increased from 190PS to 204PS, and has a peak torque of 400Nm.
The updated Audi Q5 range will be available in the UK later this summer priced from £42,950 OTR. Visit Audi.co.uk for more information.
