Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 ‘Concept’

Take a good look, the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept could just be the car that takes the fight to Aston Martin and Jaguar from the boys and girls at Crewe. Shown here in concept form, we suspect this will mark the start of a sportier range of Bentley cars.
Ah the Geneva Motorshow, you spend several months getting excited for what will be revealed only to get to the first day and realise that everything has either been leaked or revealed in the previous weeks car magazines. Then out of nowhere someone reveals something that just blows you away. For us that car is the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 (although a simpler name would be nice should it reach production).
On the outside the EXP 10 looks very much like a modern Bentley but everything appears more taught and athletic. Where the Continental would be perfect for cruising down to the south of France, this Bentley looks like you might opt for some exciting back roads on your way. This is clearly Bentley’s vision of a rival for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage or Jaguar F-Type.
Inside the EXP 10 could just have one of the best looking interiors of recent times. From the two sculpted leather seats to the custom Bentley luggage in the back, the EXP 10 screams luxury but with sporting intent. There seems to be plenty of technology in there too with a 12” touch screen built into the narrow centre console and another LCD screen housing the speedo, revs and navigation.
Little is known about what is under the skin as this is just a concept. the Speed 6 part of the name suggests it could use a V6 but that is purely speculation. The larger Continetal uses a four wheel drive platform from VW but we imagine this car, if made, would use a lighter and more agile rear wheel drive layout.
Whilst this car is intended to preview a new design direction at Bentley, we suspect and hope that the EXP 10 Speed 6 isn’t too far from a production reality. A new Bentley 4×4 will come first but we can’t wait to see if bentley does put this into production.
