70th Anniversary Bristol Bullet
To celebrate their 70th birthday, famed luxury car manufacturer Bristol Cars have just announced their first new model since 2003, and the first since the company was rescued from insolvency by investors back in 2011. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous new Bristol Bullet.
Hand-made in Chichester, the Bristol Bullet draws its bold and confident design from decades of Bristol Cars’ engineering innovation and British automotive heritage, with wings, a front grill and bonnet all visual clues to the company’s roots in aviation.
The Bullet name comes from a 1920s biplane and underpinned by the sports car’s BMW V8 engine. This means this luxury ride is able to reach top speeds of 155mph and has a 0-62mph of 3.8 seconds. Not too shabby at all.
As for that sleek body, it’s been made by a design house in Italy and is manufactured from bespoke carbon fibre composites for strength and low weight. The interior also ooze quality with tan leather sport seating, herringbone carbon-fibre weaves, and classic wood furnishings on the dashboard to bring Bristol’s traditions right up to date.
There’s also plenty of modern gadgets to go alongside all that heritage, including audio playback over Wi-Fi, screen mirroring from supported smartphone devices and even a button which provides instant access to the Bristol showroom in Kensington, London.
We’re over the moon to see a British motoring icon back on its feet and the Bristol Bullet looks to be everything you’d want from a British sports car with the performance to back up those unique characteristics. There’s no official word on purchase dates yet but a price tag of £250,000 has been slapped on the Bullet. Head over to the Bristol Cars Website for more details.
