DTV Shredder – The World’s Coolest Scooter
If you’ve wandered the busy streets of London recently, you may well have come across grown men (sometimes in suits) whizzing along the footpath on electric scooters. If like us you find them to be a little on the childish side, take a look at the DTV Shredder – an off-road scooter designed for big boys who love their big toys.
The DTV Shredder is the first true crossover vehicle for action and power sports. A combination of tank, scooter, skateboard, and motocross bike, the DTV (Dual Tracked Vehicle) Shredder is the first year-round, all-terrain vehicle. Not only will it make the entire outdoors your own personal playground, it’s also compact enough to fit in the boot of your car.
Using the best characteristics of MotoX, skateboarding and jetskiing, the goal for the DTV was simple; makers BPG Werks wanted to create a new vehicle that was compact yet powerful, and rideable all year round in any weather or terrain.
It’s been in development for over the past 8 years, with BPG ensuring the steering and control system is determined by the rider’s natural body movements instead of using traditional controls. Then result is a smooth arcing ride which turns similar to boarding in fresh snow.
As well as being able to transport passengers who love in remote terrains, it’s also been built to become a new sport in itself. It features two aggressive tank-treads, a skateboard deck and powerful 4-stroke 196cc engine, making it capable of traveling through sand, snow, trials and even mountainsides at high speed.
You can purchase your very own DTV Shredder for around £4,500 ($6,000) from the BPG Werks Website.
