This black 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa has just been bought for a world record €9.02 million. The most ever paid for a car at Auction. It was sold at the legendary Leggenda e Passione auction in Maranello and the bidder is unknown.
The immaculate V12 racecar won an impressive 10 out of 19 races between 1958 – 1961 and was ear marked as a potential record-breaker even before the auction started.
But the record breaking Testa Rossa wasn’t the only car receiving enormous bids, a 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 racecar failed to make its reserve price despite earning a bid of €7.25 million. And there was also a 1956 Maserati 250F in which Stirling Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix which also failed to sell, despite pulling bids into the millions.
