As one of the most desirable hypercars on the entire planet, it’s hard to see how on earth Ferrari could improve their masterpiece LaFerrari. But for some, all it would take is ripping the roof off it, which is exactly what the Italian motoring masters have done! Introducing the limited edition Ferrari LaFerrari Convertible.

Limited Edition 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Convertible

Yes, Ferrari have only got and made an open-top LaFerrari, and while very few have had the pleasure of seeing it in the flesh – let alone actually drive the thing – the first few photographs of the convertible version are mouth-wateringly beautiful.

The new limited edition special series is aimed at Joes and collectors who don’t want to compromise a lack of wind in their hair when behind the wheel of a supercar. As such, it’ll be available with a removable carbon-fibre hard top and a removable soft top.

Ferrari are touting that it has all the same gear and performance figures as the original LaFerrari, which means it’s still sporting a 800 cv V12 ICE coupled with a 120 kW electric motor (163 cv), unleashing 963 cv in total. Just a reminder that the original LaFerrari has a top speed of 217 mph and can do 0-62 mph in less than 3 seconds…

The full name of the limited edition and technical characteristics of it will be announced at the Paris International Motor Show in October but we do also know Ferrari have modified the chassis and aerodynamics to match the torsional rigidity and drag coefficient of the coupe with the top off.

If the 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Convertible is what your life is missing, you should probably know that the order book is already closed for this beauty following a special preview to clients. Pricing has not been announced either but with the original LaFerrari costing around a cool £1million, you’d expect something similar.
