Update – More stories are coming in the said GPS murder attempt. It seems the victim was Robert Jones who was following his GPS in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, Jones said, “I just trusted the satnav. It kept insisting that the path was a road even as it was getting narrower and steeper. I rely on my satnav, I couldn’t do without it for my job. I guess I’m lucky the car didn’t slip all the way over the edge. But it has been a bit of a nightmare.”
The new best part? Yorkshire Police arrested the Robert and charged him with “driving without due care and attention,”
It seems to be happening all to often but here we have another driver, this time from the UK who just escaped death after trusting his Sat-Nav a little too much. The GPS system guided said BMW driver down a skinny, bendy and quite steep lane, Once he paused at a fence, the GPS told him to go straight ahead, through the fence and straight off the cliff. Although stopped at this point, the slope was so severe that he could not get back to the main road!
The best bit? Apparantly the 43 year old bloke is in the business of GPS and Sat-Navs. Way to prove a product I guess….
