Jaguar Project 7 at Goodwood

Now, we LOVE the new Jaguar F-Type here at Average Joes, it’s no secret and you can read our test drive here. But (gasp) Jaguar may have made it MORE exciting. Unveiled in its curvacious loveliness at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Jaguar Project 7 has been inspired by and in honour of Jaguar’s 7 wins at Le Mans.
The Project 7 really is something special to look at. It features an all aluminium body with a rear fairing inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-type with the roll-over bar incorporated into the bodywork much like that of the classic model. There is carbon-fibre trim featured around the vehicle and it sports some rather dishy 20” five spoke rims with bright red brake callipers to contrast with the fetching blue paint.
Where the passenger seat once was a helmet holder now resides, for the matching project 7 helmet and the remainder of the interior does not disappoint with diamond design quilding on the upholstery and most of the usual mod-cons you would expect from a car of this calibre. Under the bonnet sits a 5.0 litre V8 engine producing 550bhp and a 0-62 of 4.2 seconds with the limiter topping out at 186 mph.
The Jaguar Project 7 was one of the stars of the show at Goodwood Festival of Speed, and you know what? We really want Jaguar to build it… but until then check out the pics & video below.
