Jaguar teased us all recently with a glimpse of their new super-saloon, the XFR-S. We got rather excited about the prospect of a balls-out British muscle car from one of the most iconic motoring brands in the world. And now here it is in all it’s glory, the new Jaguar XFR-S.
Who is the XFR-S aimed at? Well do you look at the already rapid 500bhp XFR and think that it needs more wings, more vents, a splash of carbon fibre and most importantly, more power? Then this is the car for you.
The first thing you notice is the large rear spoiler. It really sets the tone for this car. It is not designed to slip past unnoticed, it’s not really designed to be a jag. It screams aggression at you from the slightly evil looking nose to the quad exhausts on the tail.
Under the bonnet the 5.0 litre supercharged V8 has been fettled to give out a frankly absurd 550bhp through the rear wheels. This increase in power allows the car to reach a top speed of 186mph and 0-60 in 4.4 secs. It should make the school run that little bit more interesting, and of course, quick!
Inside the usual Jaguar refinements are present but you are spoiled with even more carbon fibre on the dash and exclusive stitching & materials. Overall the XFR-S is the sort of car that sticks two fingers up to cars like the BMW M5 and shows them how to burn rubber in style.
We love the new mad-jag but we want to know what you think of the Jaguar XFR-S.
