Lambo has just announced a new addition to its Aventador line-up, and needless to say it’s a beaut. May we present to you the Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe. It’s fast, it’s yellow and we’re told it represents a new benchmark for the Aventador.
The new Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe is the pinnacle of the House of the Raging Bull’s historic S model. And while it’s obvious gorgeous, what’s really different about this Aventador? Well, first of all, and most importantly, this new S Coupe packs a whole load more power. Coming with a 6.5-litre V12, the new model roars out 730bhp – that’s up from the ‘regular’ Aventador’s 691bhp.
That means the seven-speed gearbox will allow this Lambo to hit 0-62mph in just 2.9secs and it’ll max out at 217mph. We’re informed the exhaust is also 20% lighter than previous models which means it’ll create a serious racket – always a plus in our book!
It’s also four wheel drive; a first for a production Lamborghini. The S Coupe offers a unique combination of the active front steering system (Lamborghini’s ‘Dynamic Steering System’) and the rear system, offering top notch dynamic performance which adapts to the speed and the driving mode selected by the driver. All in all, it’s just far more responsive.
Facially, the S Coupe is very much as was with a few nice tweaks. There’s new front end fins and new hexagonal tailpipes, for example, which give the car a 130% increase in front downforce. While the new side air vents reduce turbulence and improve cooling and increased efficiency.
Expectedly, the interior features all the luxury you’d want from a sports car with leather and wood dominating. There’s also the option of a ‘Carbon Skin’ which allows for certain carbon fibre parts to be left exposed. Technology-wise there’s an interactive TFT LCD display with completely redesigned graphics, and the possibility to enhance the interiors with a LED lighting system created ad hoc.
The Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe will land in the UK next year and will set owners back around £225,955. Head over to the Lambo Website for more details.
