Not that we ever needed any confirmation LEGO wasn’t just for kids, but the Danish block masters have just unveiled their first ever collaboration with motorbike specialists Harley-Davidson. Take a look at the brand new LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
Developed alongside Harley-Davidson, the detailed new LEGO motorcycle captures the beauty of the real thing with finishes, surfaces and design elements crafted to replicate the full-size iconic Milwaukee model, measuring in at a hefty 7 inches high, 7 inches wide and 12 inches long.
Featuring 1,023 pieces, the model comes complete with solid-disc wheels, teardrop fuel tank, integrated speedometer, and dual exhaust pipes, and features several moveable parts too. Spin the rear tire and you’ll see the Milwaukee-Eight engine with moving pistons and dual exhaust pipes, spring to life.
At the front, builders can turn the handlebar, move the gear shift and brake levers, and flip down the motorcycle’s kickstand for easy parking. The model is finished off with an authentic dark red and black colour scheme with Harley-Davidson logos on each side reflective of the 2019 Fat Boy motorcycle’s Wicked Red paint scheme.
To celebrate the launch, LEGO Master Builders created a life-size model of the motorcycle, complete with silver coated parts, Wi-Fi animation control, sound and light effects to imitate a real Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. Made of 69,569 pieces and taking 865 hours to build, it will be on display at select LEGO stores and Harley-Davidson events throughout the year.
The new LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy model is available for £84.99 from LEGO Stores, as well as on the LEGO Store Website, from 1st August 2019.
This time last year, LEGO unveiled an incredibly faithful 3,599-piece model of a Bugatti Chiron.
