Audi are going green. Yes our favorite German is lining up a new E series of cars, kicking off with the E1.
The E1 is being touted as the new ‘original’ Mini and is due to be launched in 2011.
Now don’t think this eco friendly car will be a bottom of the range number, no Audi are keeping it in-line with their premium brand with all of the classic Audi looks up front. You will also get LED head and tail lights and alloys as standard. Rumors say the layout is modelled on the iQ with 2 seats up front then room for 1 passenger or luggage at the rear.
A few engines will be released, though the flagship model will be an all electric affair, offering a range of approximately 100 miles and becoming the ultimate city runner. Costs will start at around £12K and with the Government offer of up to £5k for all hybrid cars this could be a steal when launched!
