Renault have released details fo their Megane Sport RS 250 at the Geneva Motorshow pitting it up against the likes of the new Focus ST and Golf GTI. And you know what? I love it! After the last shocker that was ‘shaking that ass’ this new sleek Megane oozes class. With a two-litre 16-valve turbocharged engine running at 250hp, 5,500rpm and peak torque of 340Nm from 3,000rpm power is increased by 25bhp on the old R26.
The interior has sport seats, an analogue rev-counter with visual and audible gearshift indicator, aluminium pedals and the Renaultsport steering wheel complete with ‘thumb grips’. The externals are based on the new 3 door Megane but with an aggressive bodykit, wider front bumper, LED daytime running lights and splitter, extended wheel arches and sills, 18-inch alloy wheels, central exhaust tailpipe and rear diffuser.
No Pricing details have been released yet but expect pricing inline with the current hot hatches.
