Looking forward to their next 100 years, Rolls-Royce have just announced their first ever ‘vision vehicle’; a completely customisable, futuristic beauty which will have no need for an engine, let alone a driver. Feast your eyes on the spacey EX103, otherwise known as the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 Concept.
The Rolls-Royce EX103 is a pure concept car which is fully autonomous and chucks out zero-emission. Not only that Rolls say the shape, size and silhouette will be hand-built specifically for each individual owner, meaning the EX103 would arguably the most customisable luxury car in history.
Being a car of the future, this Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 also comes with a virtual personal assistant called ‘Eleanor’, named after the model for the company’s signature Spirit of Ecstasy. Eleanor will handle everything from setting your destination to letting you know your daily schedule.
Inside the car, things are less futuristic but no less indulgent. There’s a sole silk-covered couch at the rear of the cabin (so you’ll have to leave the kids at home), as well as a transparent OLED screen which sits in the front showing you info you’ll need for the day or any entertainment you could want for.
Upon entrance to the car, a light will show you to the door giving you your very own personal red carpet. The glass roof on the concept also provides a canopy for privacy but still gives passengers the opportunity ‘to contemplate the majesty of the stars in the firmament above as they glide through the night.’ We’re not sure either – but it sounds like something we want to do!
The Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 EX103 is all about the best things a luxury cars can offer – beauty, space and form. While we know Rolls are front-runners in these departments, fusing modernity with opulence can be a tricky business. But we absolutely adore the EX103 – a car as much as piece of art as it is a look into the automotive future. Head over to the Rolls-Royce Website for more details.
