Subaru WRX to Debut in LA

Having previewed as a concept in March at Geneva, the all new Subaru WRX has been given the go ahead for manufacture, with the production version set to debut later this year at the LA Motorshow in November.
Set for release in early 2014, the new WRX will only come as a saloon, with the manufacturer set to retire the hatchback version. Under the bonnet it looks set to come with a 2.5 litre engine 269 BHP engine for the WRX and a 309 brake version for the STI, with all wheel drive as standard.
Aesthetically, the redesign is set to be very popular. The WRX has a sleeker exterior with a complete bodywork overhaul taking place. These include more sweeping lines across the roof and front combined with harder edges along the skirts and rear bumper. There is a large bonnet intake, some rather fetching HID headlamps, and a super aggressive rear diffuser to offer the driver a sporty and modern body.
The vehicle will sit above the BRZ (the twin sister of the Toyota GT86) in the Subaru range and is set to be priced above the £27,000 mark. And if we are completely honest, it is the first Subaru to really get us excited since our teens!
