Volvo Trucks: The Hook Video
Last updated on November 15th, 2015 at 12:08 pm
Car manufactures push out decent and pretty cool video content most days of the week. From Ice Hockey to Mini Darth, we have had it all. But every now and again something a little different happens, and today it is the turn of Volvo Trucks.
Now although most may not know Volvo build trucks, I thankfully do. My old man was a lorry driver for most of his life, and Volvo was his weapon of choice. But he isn’t the only one that trusts the product, it seems that the Volvo VP (Claes Nilsson) does as well, putting the new truck to the test in a slightly different way.
For the Volvo Video Stunt, Claes stood on the front of the new Volvo FMX lorry for over 2 hours whilst it was hanging 20 metres above water in Sweden to get the perfect shots. The new film, called ‘Volvo Trucks – The Hook‘ is to showcase the towing hook on the new Volvo FMX, and as far as advertising towing hooks go, this seems a good a way as any.
Last year it was the ‘The Ballerina Stunt’, and this year ‘The Hook’ will no doubt be the video all truckers are playing in their cabs (whilst parked safely). Take a peek and let us know what you think, and don’t let anyone tell you that old guys from Sweden have no personality or talk like robots..).
