World's Largest Paper Airplane

Here in the office, we are really still all big kids at heart. We are the first to down tools when some weird and interesting toy is posted through the door! Now although this one won’t fit through our letterbox, it does bring us back to our misspent youth!

This is believed to be the largest paper airplane the world has ever seen, measuring a massive 45 feet in length, and needing to be launched by helicopter.

Designed and developed by The Pima Air & Space Museum in Tuscon, Arizona, things didn’t really go to plan. A strong gust pulled the helicoptor through the air, which meant the pilot had to give the order for the release of the plane early. It then ‘flew’ for a not so massive 6 seconds before plummeting to the ground.

Don’t worry though, all of this action was captured on film, and you can view it below.
