We’ve probably all at one time or another walked past the local soft play area and thought, “Hey, they should open that for adults AND with a shit load of booze!” Well, guess what? Londoners rejoice as a new ball-pit bar is opening this weekend in Dalston.
Introducing the aptly named BallieBallerson, a new East London haunt which is half ball-pit area with inflatable toys and half bar. 200,000 balls and throwback cocktails. What more could you want?!
It’s opening this weekend with the bar having been designed by graffiti and street artists. The cocktails are all retro classics with each having been made using old school sweets such as Wham Bars, Dip Dabs and Pink Shrimp Foam.
The ball pit has been filled chest-high with over 200,000 balls, inflatables and foam toys, with festivities set to DJs spinning tunes. Funk and Soul seems to dominate, which is no bad thing, but there’s also some House and Drum & Bass nights as well.
There’s also naturally some food on offer and rather understandably, everything is ball-shaped. We’re talking potato balls, cheese balls with cranberry sauce, and Yorkshire pudding balls with meatballs. They’re also offering Saturday Bottomless Brunches. What’s not to like!?
BallieBallerson is set to open this weekend and will be open Wednesdays & Thursdays 6pm – 12am, and Fridays & Saturdays 6pm – 2am. Located at 79 Stoke Newington Road, N16 8AD, tickets for entry are usually £5. Head over to the BallieBallerson Website for more details.
