As we head into winter, it’s only natural that Christmas and the multitude of nights out it brings begin to dominate the topic of conversations. Well, one option for the office/mates Christmas party is Big Apple Brixton, an NYC-themed pop up which will feature three themed indoor bars as well as a themed nightclub.

Big Apple Brixton Pop-Up

If you couldn’t guess from the name, Big Apple Brixton is all about bringing the sights, tastes and sounds New York City to South London. But not just any NYC – specifically 1977 Big Apple – think Andy Warhol, Studio 54, Stateside food vendors and giant Christmas trees!

Big Apple Brixton is the brainchild of the same award-winning team who bought us Brixton’s Beach Boulevard in the summer and last year’s South Pole Saloon. The event space will host three themed indoor bars and one themed nightclub based on iconic venues from 1970s New York City, making it perfect for a night out or just a casual after-work drink or two.

The rooftop venue will feature day and night parties with music line-ups from internationally renowned hip hop, disco and house artists. It will also feature some delicious street food from Mac to the Future (mac n’ cheese), Burger Bear (burgers), Grandmaster Slice (NYC-style pizza) and Plucky’s, who offers up Buttermilk fried chicken with deep fried halloumi nuggets added in for good measure.

There’s also four private rooms available for private hire on site, each with a different theme; a barbershop, a record store, a Latino chapel and, our favourite, a peep show! Each space can cater for up to 20 guests which means its ideal for the office party.

Aside from all the drinking, eating and partying, Big Apple Brixton will also play host to disco yoga classes on Monday evenings as well as hip hop fuelled exercise classes on Tuesday evenings.

Located at The Brixton Rooftop (Popes Road, SW9 8JH), Big Apple Brixton opens on Thursday 27th October and will be open Thursdays (6pm – 11pm), Fridays (6pm – 12am), Saturdays (3pm – 12am), and Sundays (1pm – 10pm) until New Year’s Day. Guaranteed entry is Free on Thursdays and Sundays, and £3 on Fridays and Saturdays if you book over at the Big Apple Brixton Website.
