Following three years of establishing itself in Farringdon as one of the go-to bars in London, table-tennis bar Bounce has opened its second venue in Shoreditch!
Bounce, dubbed ‘The Home of Ping Pong’, is exactly what we like in a night-out haunt – different, high energy, lots of fun, and great booze! Taking the humble ping pong table from the back corner of a bar to become the main focus of the venue, Bounce still offers the full hospitality experience that will rival anywhere in the big city.
We headed down to the opening last week and loved what we saw. As well as the usual celeb appearances, including Tom Daley, we were treated to a UV graffiti spectacle, excellent cocktails and some tasty stonebaked pizzas.
The new Shoreditch Bounce is just 80 yards east of Old Street roundabout, with the new venue housing 17 bespoke ping pong tables, as well as a beautiful private room with three tables for those who want a bit seclusion. Though, wherever you are, chances are you’re probably going to take a ball to the head!
Bounce’s décor keeps it grounded with some anarchic graffiti styled against plush furnishings. The open-plan restaurant comes complete with a traditional 25-foot pizza counter, serving traditional Italian pizzas, alongside a selection of antipasti, canapés and plenty more.
Bounce Shoreditch has been two-and-a-half years and £3.5m in the making, with its first international venue due to open in Chicago in early 2016. There’s also further planned openings in the US and Asia.
We can’t recommend Bounce enough and know that any Joe will have a cracking night regardless of your paddle abilities. Just be sure to take a partner! Bounce Shoreditch is a couple of minutes from Old Street Station and a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street. Check out more of the Bounce Website.
