BrewDog Is Opening the ‘World’s First Alcohol-Free Bar’
With Dry January more popular than ever, Aberdeenshire brewer BrewDog is set to open the ‘world’s first alcohol-free bar’. The teetotal bar in Shoreditch will open next week with an array of craft beers, both self-brewed and guests brews, perfect for those looking to stay in check after a Christmas and New Year binge.
Yes, the BrewDog AF Bar will pilot a new way of enjoying craft beer and spirits. Absolutely everything on offer inside the bar will be alcohol-free. They’ll be 15 taps of alcohol-free craft beer on offer, as well as a changing selection of alcohol-free spirits and cider including the new Designated Cider from Hawkes Cidery.
To celebrate its launch, BrewDog will be debuting two brand new AF beers; Wake Up Call and Hazy AF. The former is a 0.5% coffee stout that is full-flavoured and roasty with hits of chocolate and coffee, while the second, Hazy AF, is an east coast alcohol-free IPA. You’ll also be able to get the brewery’s already-famous Nanny State and Punk AF beers.
The bar will also be running events throughout the month, from hip hop karaoke to booze-free bingo, and will also be serving up a menu of burgers and wings, alongside a series of healthy specials. They’ll have Ellon-roasted BrewDog espresso coffee on offer as well as AF beer to takeaway from the fridges.
The BrewDog AF Bar will open at 12pm on Monday 6th January at 211 Old St, EC1V 9NR. And to celebrate its launch, BrewDog are also launching ‘Drink All You Can Jan’; free refills of any BrewDog Alcohol-Free beer in every UK BrewDog Bar throughout January. Find out more over at the BrewDog Website.
It’s not the first old idea BrewDog have had either. In 2018, the Scottish brewer not only opened their very first brewery hotel in Columbus, Ohio, it also announced the “world’s first craft beer airline”, complete with on-board beer experts, grub, and lots and lots of craft beer.
