The new year brings lots of hope and second chances but more importantly than all that it also marks the seasonal return of the Cadbury Creme Egg! After last year’s great Creme Egg swindle where the size was shrunk and the chocolate recipe was changed, it looks as though Cadbury are going to try and get us all back on side with the opening of a Creme Egg café!
That’s right – Cadbury are going to be opening a pop-up Cadbury Creme Egg café in London next week serving a variety of Creme Egg themed delicacies across three floors! The café will be around for seven weeks in total on Greek Street in central London.
The ground floor of the Creme Egg cafe is designed to be for Joes who are on the go and need their fondant and chocolate pronto. The first floor will feature a more restaurant vibe and the second floor will just be an interactive ball pool!
The café will serve all thing Creme Egg, which means things like egg and soldiers, a Creme Egg tray bake, and strawberries and creme (egg). These will all cost £4 but the dish that’s really got our attention is the Creme Egg toastie for £2! That’s right… a Creme. Egg. Toastie. Tea, coffee and water will also be available but unfortunately there’s no booze on offer.
The Cadbury Creme Egg café will open every Friday between 5-9pm, as well as Saturdays and Sundays between 2-6pm from 22nd January until 6th March. You can book a table in the restaurant on the first floor via Eventbrite (from Tuesday 19th January). We’d guess spaces will go pretty quickly, so we’d say get on the website egg-tremely quickly!
