Half asleep on the train back from the big smoke is always a great chance for reflection, and perhaps not many as needed as this weekend. Following 10 incredibly lucky people as they embarked on a Compressed Weekend of Awesomeness to celebrate the launch of the new smaller cans of deodorant from Unilever.
Jai, Nikin, Coralie, Matthew, Ellie, Sarah-Louise, Richard, Thomas, Ian and Mark were transported in style aboard the Compressed Bus all weekend on a journey of fun, frolics and even managed to get in a lift with a Sir (Woodward). It all started with a celebrity ten pin bowling match with Hayley McQueen and Charlie Webster from Sky Sports News fame as team captains of choice, and it was back to awkwardness of sports at School with the picks!

And although Miss Charlie Webster may have been a bit cocky at the beginning, she missed one vital ingredient, picking us! And it was of course a win for team Average Joe (well technically Hayley McQueen) along with Ian, Sarah-Louise, Jai and Yasmin. Well done us!
It was then on to weekend proper on Saturday and a sport of a faster variety as the Compressed Live bus rolled out of London and to the Team Lotus F1 HQ with sponsors Sure. A guided tour and a few trade secrets whilst the team was preparing to ship out for the first race in Melbourne this weekend. Though running a Renault engine, no seems to know if they will finish the race but it was still quite humbling to view championship cars of the past and the sheer size of the whole complex! Of course we couldn’t resist the opportunity to stretch our competitive nature yet again with Batak, and as speed and reflexes came to the fore, those that didn’t drink seemed to have a slight advantage with Matthew hitting 45 in 30 seconds, very respectable but not quite the 60+ of Jenson Button!
The evening was a little more relaxed as we went through the fridge and downstairs to the trendy Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town with comedy from the super (and very young!) Matt Richardson, card tricks a plenty from Ben Hart and music from Radio 1 DJ Jameela Jamil. The night allowed everyone to relax, unwind have have a few drinks whilst they mingled and partied into the early hours (though for some perhaps a little too hard!).

The highlight of the weekend was of course saved for the very end, and a trip to the one and only Twickenham as England played host to Wales in the Six Nations Rugby with the help of Dove Men. The winners had the red carpet rolled out as England World Cup Winning Captain Lewis Moody and some guy from Wales called Ryan Jones joined everyone to talk professional rugby, sport and general goodness.
Topped off with a quick chat with World Cup Winning Sir Clive Woodward whilst in a lift, awesome food and a 29 – 18 win for England, the weekend was a complete blast and one none of the winners (nor lucky ole us) will ever forgot.
The new Compressed range of deodrants, which are available in all versions of Lynx, Sure and Dove for Men are on sale now in all your major stockists, go on, help the environment and save yourself an awful lot of space! And if you do like free stuff, keep an eye on their social channels, as they give away equally as cool stuff all the time!
