Spectre is set for DVD release in February and to celebrate, the 24th Bond film is auctioning off some of its prized assets for charity, including Bond’s Seamaster watch, Q’s laptop and even an actual Aston Martin DB10!

James Bond Spectre Auction

The majority of the auction is taking place online at Christie’s and will feature a ton of memorabilia from James Bond’s latest adventure. There’s 24 lots in total straight from the archives of EON Productions, as well as donations from Daniel Craig, director Sam Mendes, actor Jesper Christensen (Mr White in Spectre, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace) and many more.

While the auction is spread across a few days, the 18th February is a date you need to mark in your diary. An Aston Martin DB10, one of the series of DB10s designed and engineered by Aston Martin exclusively for Spectre, will be going up for sale.

Most of the DB10s were modified for use in the filming of Spectre, but two of those produced were kept back as show cars, for display purposes only, and one of them will be auctioned off by Christie’s. Expected to reach £1million – £1.5million, this will be the only DB10 to be released for public sale. It also features a special plaque signed by Daniel Craig.

Other highlights of the live sale include the Omega Seamaster 300 watch worn by Daniel Craig in Spectre, estimated to reach around £20,000. As well as the laptop used by Ben Whishshaw as Q, estimated at around £5,000, a pair of Tom Ford ‘Snowdon’ sunglasses will be sold, worn by Daniel Craig in the film, estimated at £6,000.

There’s a load of other smaller items going up for auction such as cufflinks and signed Blu-rays, so even if you have got the biggest of wallets, there’ll still be something for every Joe. All proceeds are going to good causes too with Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) and the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) the focus of all sales.

The online-only part of the James Bond Spectre auction will feature 14 of the 24 lots, with bidding open from Tuesday 16th February and closing on Tuesday 23rd February on the Christie’s Website. The remaining 10 lots will be presented in a live auction, held at Christie’s London on Thursday 18th February. Spectre is due for release in the UK on the 22nd February.
