With Season 3 set to hit Netflix in July, the Stranger Things hype is about to reach fever pitch. Not only is there a new video game, a Polaroid camera, and an H&M collection, it’s just been announced that LEGO is joining the collaborative party with its very own take of the Upside Down.
Yes, the new 2,287-piece LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down set features the Byers’ house from Season One, complete with Christmas lights, and the ability to flip the entire model upside down, revealing the actual Upside Down from the show: a mirrored Byers’ house in dark blue and grey tone, housing the Demogorgon and a terrified Will Byers.
Alongside the alphabet wall with a light-up function, the living room also features authentic details from the series, such as a couch, coffee table, telephone, axe, ‘have you seen me?’ flyers, and a bear trap to catch the Demogorgon.
Will’s bedroom has also been replicated and features details like Will’s boombox, bed, desk, desk lamp, drawings and movie posters. The dining room is also featured and includes an armchair, boxes that store Christmas lights, fantasy game rule book and a potted plant, while the attic space includes a Mind Flayer drawing and a wizard hat for ‘Will the Wise’.
The Stranger Things LEGO set naturally comes with eight mini-figures, each with their own accessories, featuring all the main characters, including Eleven, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Joyce Byers, Chief Jim Hopper, and the Demogorgon. The set also comes with the Chief’s truck.
The LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down set is set to go on sale on 1st June this year, priced at £179.99, while Season 3 itself will be dropping on Netflix in the UK on 4th July to coincide with American Independence Day. Head over to the LEGO Website now for more details.
Ahead of Season 2 in 2017, a Stranger Things-inspired pop-up bar in Chicago named ‘The Upside Down’ paid homage to the show by dropping a paranormal Hawkins, Indiana right in the heart of the Windy City.
