If there’s one thing we’ve learnt from Jeff Goldblum down the years – and there has been many things – it’s that ‘life finds a way.’ But by the looks of the first trailer for next year’s sci-fi thriller, LIFE, Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal didn’t get the poignant message.
Due for release midway through next year, LIFE tells the story of a six-member crew on the International Space Station. On their journey orbiting our solar system. Gyllenhaal, Reynolds and co. are on the edge of discovering that there is indeed alien life out there.
As the crew edges nearer to the end of their research, their methods end up having unintended consequences with the life form becoming even more intelligent than they’d expected. And guess what? It might not be so friendly to humans after all!
LIFE is directed by Child 44 director Daniel Espinosa, and from the trailer we think this could be a cracker. Not only does it pack a stellar cast with Gyllenhaal and Reynolds joined by the likes of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’s Rebecca Ferguson, the ISS also looks like a perfectly intimate setting for a sci-fi and thriller/horror cross-genre corker.
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Hiroyuki Sanada, LIFE is slated to release next year on 12th May here in the UK, with it arriving in the States a couple of weeks later. Check out the full trailer below and let us know what you think!
