Where to Spend Thanksgiving in London 2016
We may not traditionally celebrate it this side of the Atlantic but with most of us having at least one American or Canadian friend, it’s always good to know where’s best to get your turkey on when Thanksgiving comes round. So to make things easier, we’ve picked out the best venues in London where they’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving 2016 in style.
Location: 4-6 Russell Street, WC2B 5HZ.
Nearest Tube: Covent Garden
Balthazar was born and bred in New York City itself, so it would therefore seem appropriate to spend your Thanksgiving at Covent Garden’s branch for a dinner that should transport you back to the States. For £55 a head, the menu this year starts off with a gingerbread-spiced cocktail, followed by three courses including roast turkey with orange-and-chestnut stuffing and corn fritters, and naturally a pumpkin cheesecake to finish things off. Balthazar are always keen to celebrate American traditions having regularly hosted Super Bowl parties, so we’ve no doubt they’ll put on a feast to remember.
Location: 111-113 Camden High Street, NW1 7JN.
Nearest Tube: Camden Town
If you fancy a taste of the Deep South for your Thanksgiving meal, look no further than The Blues Kitchen. Serving up Thanksgiving staples like roast turkey, ham, cornbread, and chestnut stuffing, The Blues Kitchen will also be dishing up its house regulars like New Orleans gumbo for starters. It’s £29.95 for a ticket and you’ll be treated to live blues from The Untouchables and Tom Mansi and the Ice Breakers until 1am. The Shoreditch and Brixton venues will also be celebrating in similar style.
Riding House Cafe
Location: 43-51 Great Titchfield Street, W1W 7PQ.

If you’re a homesick American and need others to share your Thanksgiving with, the Riding House Cafe is the perfect place to head. Whether you’re flying solo, in a pair, or in a small group, the RHC is putting on some sharing tables where you can mingle with old friends as well as making some new one. It’s £40 a head with the dinner kicking off with a welcome cocktail, followed by a two-course menu of Norfolk roast turkey with cornbread and sausage stuffing, and a selection of desserts including the likes of chocolate pecan pie.

As usual, all of London’s various Breakfast Clubs will be hosting a homely thanksgiving dinner this year too with a three course meal with plenty of lovely vibes on the 24th November. For £28 per head they’ll be serving butternut bisque for starters, followed by bacon and beer roasted turkey (obviously), and finished off with pumpkin pie. Perfect.
