Whether it’s the best new bars, restaurants, films or events, we’ve got you covered no matter where you are!
Things to Do This Weekend in London
Walthamstow Garden Party
Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July 2019. Free.
Who likes the sound of a day music festival in London which is completely free of charge? Well, this weekend offers up one of the best on the London calendar with the 6th annual Walthamstow Garden Party. This family friendly event features a brilliant line-up of everything from music, theatre, dance and comedy, to circus, art and even a designers’ market.
This year you can catch legendary Malian musical duo Amadou & Mariam, Brazilian singer Tassia Reis and jazz singer-songwriter Zara McFarlane on the music stage, while elsewhere the Barbican Young Poets and Skatepark Jam will also be showcasing their talents. The bar will once again be ran by local brewers, Wild Card Brewery.
Location: Lloyd Park, Forest Road, E17 4PP. Nearest Tube: Walthamstow Central.
Saturday 13th July 2019. Free.
If you’ve headed to Berlin in the past decade, chances are your travel guide pointed you in the direction of Mauerpark and its Bearpit Karaoke. Joe Hatchiban’s acclaimed and unique outdoor karaoke show is the stuff of legends and this Saturday it returns to London and the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
The rules are simple; randomers are coaxed into singing karaoke in the park, with crowds gathering and hopefully joining in the sing-a-long. It’s that simple and it’s also completely free of charge. Bearpit Karaoke doesn’t come around too often, so don’t miss your chance this Saturday.
Location: Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens SE11 5HL. Nearest Tube: Vauxhall.
Things to Do This Weekend in Birmingham
Birmingham Cocktail Weekend

Birmingham Cocktail Weekend kicks off this Thursday with some of the best cocktail bars in Brum showcasing their exclusive concoctions. The premise is simple: grab your wristband for £10 and then get yourself a signature cocktail created especially for BCW at each venue for just £4.
The wristband is valid from opening on Thursday until the last venue closes on Sunday. You can either dip in and out of the festival whether it for just one day or for all four. Alongside all the specially crafted cocktails, there’ll also be a host of events and masterclasses, ranging from Rum Tastings to Live Band Kentucky Karaoke!

Pravha Food Market
Thursday 11th & Friday 12th July 2019. Free.
This summer, beer brand Pravha is touring the UK to bring a taste of its pilsner to life in a fairly unusual way with the Pravha Food Market Pop Up. This Thursday and Friday it heads to Spinningfields and will feature a range of food either using the actual pilsner for taste, or intended to complement the drink.
Options will include a pilsner sorbet or – if you’re feeling slightly more adventurous – an Edible Bubble Volcano which will be releasing a constant stream of beer bubbles for guests to try and catch. Naturally everyone in attendance will also get a free 330ml taster of Pravha. Entry is free but registering is recommended!
Location: Spinningfields, Hardman Street, M3 3EB.
