London Gelato Festival
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th June 2019. £15 Adults, £10 Kids.
With temperatures reaching scorching levels, chances are you’ll be on the lookout for some ice cream this weekend. And if you’re in London, you’re in luck as 16 of the world’s best gelato makers set up shop at the London Gelato Festival. Gelatieri (ice cream pros) from all over the world will be serving up their best and most exciting flavours.
A £15 ticket (£10 for children) gives you access to sample all 16 flavours, as well as gelato masterclasses and themed activities during the day at Canopy Markrt. Competing flavours this year include Lemon & Basil, Douglas Fir, and Pannacotta with Poached Strawberries & Balsamic Vinegar.

London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival 2019
Sunday 30th June 2019. Free.
The London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will be celebrating its 24th edition at London’s Regatta Centre this Sunday. Around 40 teams of 16-20 people, ranging from beginners to seasoned paddlers, will take to the water with dragon boats and drums to battle it out throughout the day for 6 cups.
On land, the event’s accompanying food festival will be offering the authentic taste of South East Asia. There’ll also be entertainment provided on the East West Festival stage too, showcasing new artists from the East and West, martial arts displays, and traditional Chinese lion dancing.

Summer Beer Things 2019
Friday 28th – Sunday 30th June 2019. From £6.
Summer Beer Thing once again takes over Sadler’s Yard this weekend. Back for its 3rd edition, the good boozy folk who bring you the Indy Man Beer Con have teamed up with The Pilcrow and Cloudwater Brew Co for the three day celebration of the best beer the North has to offer.
As such, expect to find over 60 beers pouring at any one session with a whopping 200+ lined up for the duration of the festival. This year there’s also a unique cocktail experience on offer from Bring & Mix and CampariUK, while street food will be provided by the likes of Margot Pizza and Vaso Kitchen.

Things to Do This Weekend in Bristol
Bristol Sounds 2019

There’s few better places to be in Bristol when the sun’s out than at the Harbourside and this weekend it’s your chance to rock the night away with cider in hand at a series of open-air gigs at Bristol Sounds. The festival is already well underway but things really heat up this weekend with the likes of early 2000’s indie kings Bloc Party taking to the stage on Friday night.
On Saturday it’s the turn of legendary Manchester outfit Elbow to perform their dulcet tones, while things wrap up on Sunday night with The Cinematic Orchestra. Tickets for the Bloc Party gig on Friday may be a little tricky to get hold of but there are still tickets remaining for the weekend’s gigs.

Things to Do This Weekend in Glasgow
West End Festival 2019

The West End Festival is Glasgow’s largest cultural event and every June it takes over this bustling area of Glasgow for a whole month with a wide variety of events and performances. Thing weekend sees festivities come to a close but there’s still plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy with events, exhibitions, performances, talks, tours, workshops and screenings.
This weekend Holyrood Pleasure Gardens is hosting its Summer Fete with live music, food, bakes, tombolas, bouncy castles, face painting and loads of other games for kids, while The Glasgow Food & Drink Tour will take guests around six amazing, independent restaurants, shops and bars where you’ll taste some of Glasgow’s unique delicacies.
