Things to Do This Weekend

Every week we’ll be giving Joes the best things to do this weekend no matter where you are in the country. Whether it’s the best new bars, clubs, restaurants, films or events, we’ve got you covered!

Things to Do This Weekend in London

Brooklyn Brewery Mash Tour
Friday 12th & Saturday 13th May. £35.

Brooklyn Brewery and their famed Mash Tour is returning to London this weekend for two days of floor-rattling beats, food, tech, art, games, a pinch of astonishment and of course, beer. The Tour has taken on many guises over the years but for 2017, Brooklyn Brewery are coming to the capital with one grand undertaking: a Beer Mansion.

There’ll be five rooms at the Beer Mansion, and each will fit within a unique flavour profile relating to the beer that they’ll be pouring. Brooklyn Brewery have also enlisted the help of local brewers, including the likes of 40 ft Brewery and Redchurch Brewery to make the night extra special. Voodoo Ray’s will be serving up slices and quesadilla connoisseurs Killa Dilla will also be adding some Mexican heat too.

Location: MC Motors, 28 Miller’s Avenue. E8 2DS. Nearest Station: Dalston Kingsland.

Dulwich Festival
Friday 12th – Sunday 21st May. Prices vary.

The 24th edition of the Dulwich Festival begins this weekend, bringing with it a packed programme of art, music, and performances spread across the next week or so. Highlights this weekend include a thoroughly silly performance from clowning troupe Clowns Without Boarders on Saturday at St Barnabas Parish Hall, and the Festival Fair on Goose Green this Sunday.

The free family day out comes with everything you’d want, from bouncy castles to beer tents, handmade children’s t-shirts to homemade cakes, designer jewellery to local photography. Not forgetting there’ll also be some old school donkey rides.

Things to Do This Weekend in Cardiff

Cardiff Dragon Boat Festival

Open to complete novices, no experience is necessary as all training and instructions are given on the day. Things to Do This Weekend in Norwich

Norfolk & Norwich Festival
Friday 12th – Sunday 28th May. Prices vary.

Each May the Norfolk & Norwich Festival transforms the Fine City into a place of artistic wonder, bringing with it some of the best talent from the other side of the world, as well as some from just around the corner. The N&N is always a great time to hit Norwich and 2017 promises to be the best yet.

Along with all the weird and wonderful theatre performances the festival is so famed for, you’ll be able to catch performances from the world of dance, music, circus and the visual arts. However, if we had one recommendation, we’d strongly suggest you hit the awesome Adnams Spiegeltent where you’ll find thrills, glamour and entertainment most nights, as well as some excellent booze. Check out the full programme over at the Norfolk & Norwich Website.
