Brick Live

Brick Live, the UK’s biggest celebration of LEGO, returns to the ExCel this weekend. And while you might pretend to be interested in going purely for the sake of the kids, we all know this is as much about you and it is them. Brick Live will be bringing with it the world’s best LEGO builders who’ll be putting together professional and amateur displays.

Not only will there be literally millions of bricks to create with, this year there’ll also be brick pits – perfect for little ones and big kids alike. You’ll also get the chance to see all the latest LEGO sets to buy, as well as specialist retailers selling cool vintage and collectible rare sets and accessories too.

Maison St Germain
Thursday 27th – Saturday 29th July. Free.

French elderflower liqueur specialists, St Germain, will be bringing a splash of decadence to Soho this weekend with the opening of its first ever London residency, Maison St Germain. The immersive pop-up bar will be all about celebrating the thousands of elderflowers harvested to create the unique liqueur.

As such, the bar will be florally decorated where guests will be lead up a floral staircase to the St Germain speakeasy, where guests can sample an exclusive collection of St Germain cocktails. They’ll also able to learn how to make their favourite cocktail. The bar will be hosting a live band throughout the weekend, filling the room with jazz manouche too.

Things to Do This Weekend in Brighton

Brighton Big Screen Launch Weeekend

One of the best outdoor cinemas in the UK, the Brighton Big Screen, is set to launch this weekend. And the south coast is celebrating the occasion in style with a party headlined by BBC 6 Music DJ Gilles Peterson. The Brighton Beach party will be hosting a number of live acts and DJs throughout the day.

But if you’re not that much of a party animal, what better way could there be to spend a Sunday than at the British Street Food Awards 2017? It’s taking place Sunday with 15 of the best street food vendors from London and the South East battling it out on site for your vote. The Big Screen will also be screening 4 food themed films over the course of the day.

Things to Do This Weekend in Manchester

One Big Summer Weekend
Friday 28th – Sunday 30th July. Free.

One Big Summer Weekend is back this Friday, bringing with it a whole host of events and activities which will take place across the streets of Manchester City Centre. The weekend is perfect for families and will be filled with food, music, science and shopping.

The likes of The Manchester Picnic will be taking over St. Ann’s Square for three days, with daily tastings, demos and street food from the likes of I Knead Pizza and Lunya tapas; while the Manchester Jazz Festival and Clownfest Manchester will also be making appearances across the weekend.

Things to Do This Weekend in Norwich

Laugh In The Park 2017
Thursday 27th – Sunday 30th July. From £22.

Hosted by the Red Card Comedy Club, Laugh In The Park festival is set to turn Chapelfield Gardens this Thursday, turning it into comedy central park. The standout acts for this year’s festival include the likes of Russell Kane and Mark Watson.

But if you can’t grab a tickets for the big boys, there’ll also be a whole load of other names across the weekend including rap comedy from Abandoman, Eastenders star Terry Alderton, and Norfolk-based comedy explorer Tim Fitzhigham. Beers at the festival will be provided by local brewers, Grain Brewery.
