We’re always going to be on board with any cheese festival or cheese fair. But this weekend, London Cheese Town is extra special as it’ll heading to one of the best winter pop-ups in the capital, Brixton Rooftop’s South Pole Saloon. Guests will be able to enjoy plenty of molten cheese specialties throughout the weekend, including a newly launched Camembert Mac, a Mac ‘n’ Cheese dish served within an entire Baked Camembert!
On top of that, Lamb specialists The Lambassadors will be serving up a specially created Lamb Cheese Burger, whole Fancy Funkin Chicken will be dishing up some Cheesy Topped Chicken Wings. Cheese Town also welcomes a special visitor, Alpine artisans The Raclette Brothers to the rooftop, bringing with them the finest French-Canadian treats to the streets of Cheese Town.

House of Vans Presents: Chroma
Thursday 30th November – Sunday 17th December. Free.
Opening Thursday, House of Vans has collaborated with award winning design and creative collective Studio PSK to transform their Tunnel One gallery space into an immersive light and play installation this winter. Called ‘Chroma’, the exhibition space will throw audiences headfirst into a space ‘where digital and analogue worlds dramatically collide.’
The entire exhibition – from the specially commissioned artworks – will be decked out using the same bright and bold shades of red, green and blue. The striking light installations will be controlled by a bespoke musical score and they’ll be some large scale illustrations that spring to life with stop motion, as well as a giant adult ball pit that ‘appears to self-animate.’
Location: Arches 228-232, Station Approach Road, SE1 8SW. Nearest Tube: Waterloo.
Things to Do This Weekend in Manchester
Convenience Store NQ
Opens Thursday 30th November.
Because we’re done with boring-old regular bars, the latest Northern Quarter themed bar concept is set to open this week. It’s called Convenience Store NQ and, as the name suggests, it’ll be an American convenience-store-themed bar which will take over from Keko Moku on High Street.
Inspired by US corner stores, they’ve been a little tight on details, but we’re expecting vending machines and super-sized soft drinks. The bar is also going to be opened by Beautiful Drinks, the people behind Almost Famous, Home Sweet Home and Liquor & Burn. So we’ve got high hopes!
Location: Convenience Store NQ, 100 High Street, M4 1HP.
