Mission: Breakout – The Ghost Tube Station Escape Room
Daily. £28 per person.
If you’re regular readers of Average Joes, you’ll know that one our favourite ways to spend our evenings in London is by attending one of the capital’s numerous escape rooms. And one of our favourites, Mission: Breakout, have just opened a brand new game based on its old tube station location called ‘The Ghost Tube Station’.
‘In 1924, soon after South Kentish Town was closed down, a train stopped at the station by mistake and a man absentmindedly alighted.’ Your job in to find Mr Beckett. Mission: Breakout’s dedication to keeping things authentic is evident as soon as you enter and the new room is incredibly atmospheric – not to mention very eerie! Check out our full review here.
Location: 141-145 Kentish Town Road, NW1 8PB. Nearest Tube: Kentish Town.

Things to Do This Weekend in Bristol
Saturday 30th June. £22.50.
While we’re certainly not against the concept, it’s fair to say afternoon tea isn’t the most masculine of escapees. But the Bristol Beer Factory are looking to change that with an afternoon of craft and sandwiches, aptly named Crafternoon Tea.
Forget your dainty cucumber sandwiches, scones and fancy teacups. We’re talking beef and horseradish sandwiches, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and stout cake all served alongside some of the best craft beer in town. Tickets will get you all of the above as well a beer flight of three x 1/3 beers. Get your tickets here.
Location: Bristol Beer Factory Tap Room, 291 North Street, BS3 1JP.
