Various installations will be seen across the city including mischievous stick men posing all over the buildings of Regent Street, a gigantic elephant hologram marching over Piccadilly and a phone box in Mayfair will be turned into a glowing aquarium filled with live fish London has never seen a festival light of this size before and it should provide a perfect way to see our nation’s capital in some new light!

Joes north of the border can get their fill of culture too this weekend with the Island Drift exhibition going on in central Glasgow. The immersive photographic installation was curated by public art organisation NVA, whose previous works have all been associated with light.
Their latest exhibition was created in collaboration with designer James Johnson and photographer Alan MccAteer and involved capturing images of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park with similar illuminations. The results are awesome.

Breakfast at Yorks Bakery Cafe
For those Brummie Joes, we recommend you start your weekend mornings off properly with a breakfast at Yorks Bakery Café. The artisan bakers houses a brilliant breakfast bar which includes homemade granola, bagels and as much freshly baked bread as you can get through.
You’ll find classics such as Yorks’ version of a full English on the menu but there’s also more exotic options like the shakshuka – baked eggs in sweet harissa peppers, tomatoes, coriander and lime yogurt. Either way, Yorks offers a cosy, buzzing and delicious start to your day!
Location: 1-3 Newhall Street. B3 3NH
