Things to Do This Weekend

Things to Do This Weekend in London

Redchurch Brewery Street Party
Saturday 10th September. Free.

London’s brewery scene is at an all-time peak with micros filling the entire city with hoppy amber goodness. One of our favourites in the capital has always been Redchurch Brewery and to celebrate the opening of their brand new Harlow site, Redchurch are taking over a street in Bethnal Green for a big old street party!

The afternoon/evening bash will take place on Poyser Street (Redchurch’s original site) and will consist of pretty much everything you’d want from a street party, with great beer from the brewery, tasty BBQ from Prairie Fire BBQ, and plain good vibes. Our tip; try the Paradise Pale Ale, a 3.7% light American style pale ale – perfect for a session!

Location: Redchurch Brewery, Poyser Street, E2 9RF. Nearest Tube: Bethnal Green.

Things to Do This Weekend in Birmingham

40 St Paul’s
Open Daily (except Mondays) Until 11pm.

If you’ve ever read one of our Things to Dos, you’ll know just how much we love our gin here at Average Joes. Well, one of the best gin bars we’ve been to is Birmingham’s 40 St Paul’s. Serving some of the best gin and tonics in the country, 40 St Paul’s flavour-matches an extensive menu of gins with their own homemade tonics for some truly exceptional concoctions.

Everything here is presented immaculately and though there’s only 24 seats, don’t think this is in any way pretentious. 40 St Paul’s is just a very cool bar to hang with friends and kick back with one of lives true joys – a refreshing G & T. We recommend you try the Anty Gin (made with real ants)!

Location: 40 Cox Street, B3 1RD.
