Things to Do This Weekend

Every week we’ll be giving Joes the best things to do this weekend no matter where you are in the country. Whether it’s the best new bars, clubs, restaurants, films or events, we’ve got you covered!

Things to Do This Weekend in London

Roadhouse Super Bowl Party
Sunday 4th February. £15.

It’s Super Bowl weekend and if you’re looking for a decent place to watch the game, Roadhouse is always one of the rowdier American bars in London, and they’ll once again be whipping up a gridiron frenzy behind the bar with plenty of entertainment pre and during the game. There’s four super screens as well as nine extra-large plasmas, so there’s basically no chance of not getting a decent view of the game.

There’ll be a special Roadhouse Super Bowl Menu available all night, which includes the famous Roadhouse Burger, as well as a wide selection of American craft lagers brought in especially for the day. The NFL London Cheerleaders will also be on duty if you get bored of the game!

Location: Jubilee Market, 35 The Piazza, WC2E 8BE. Nearest Tube: Covent Garden.

Winterland London 2018
Thursday 1st February – Saturday 3rd March. £5.

Christmas might now be a distant memory but winter is only just getting its scarf on, and that means the fires should still be roaring and the mulled wine should still be flowing. Which is why we can wait for London’s first Thameside enchanted forest, Winterland London, which is back for round two in SW.

Alongside mulled wine and other winter-warmers, Winterland 2018 will feature a range of food stalls from the likes of London pop-up king Jimmy’s Lodge with raclette and fondue, as well as karaoke machines, curling, mini golf, and ping pong. There’ll also be DJs spinning tunes late into the evening.

Location: Wandsworth Bridge Road, SW6 2TY. Nearest Tube: Parsons Green.

Things to Do This Weekend in Manchester

Grub Food Fair
Fridays & Saturdays. Free.

One of Manc’s favourite street food pop-ups is finally back for 2018. Having got a roof over its head late last year at Fairfield Social Club, Grub Food Fair will take place every Friday & Saturday, bringing with it beer, wine, spirits, DJs, good times and plenty of street food.

The line-up changes every day but this weekend food will come from the likes of Dough & Co and their stone baked pizzas, Perissia will be serving their unique brand of Persian street food, and Smak! will be char-grilling a variety of traditional kielbasa.

Location: Fairfield Social Club, 6 Temperance Street, M12 6HR.

Things to Do This Weekend in Leeds

Wingin’ It
Saturday 3rd February. Free.

With two bars, two kitchens, a 200 capacity event space and a spectacular roof terrace, the Northern Quarter’s Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen is always a great place to head at the weekend in Leeds. But this Saturday it’s extra enticing thanks to a chicken wing cook off!

Yes, Wingin’ It will see every one of Belgrave’s pop-up street food vendors serving their own unique take on the humble chicken wing. Everyone’s getting involved, including the likes of Korean-style Fu-Schnikens’ and hot wings from MOJO.

Location: 1-1A Cross Belgrave Street, LS2 8JP.
