Walthamstow Garden Party

We’d be surprised if any our readers didn’t like the sound of a day music festival completely free of charge, and this Sunday offers up one of the best in the London calendar in the Walthamstow Garden Party, a family friendly event which features a brilliant line-up of music.
The international line-up this year includes the likes of the Asian Dub Foundation, Mo’ Kalamity, Islam Chipsy and Sam Lee, as well as theatre, dance, comedy and even circus acts throughout the day.

Junkyard Golf Club

For those in East London who like to be occupied while they booze, Junkyard Golf Club offers one of the liveliest haunts in Shoreditch. Following an overwhelmingly successful stint in Manchester, Junkyard are bringing their 9-hole courses to the Old Truman’s Brewery in Shoreditch – what better place for it!?
As well as crazy golf involved treadmills, speedboats and cows, there’s four bars and food is provided by Bart’s Dog Kart, serving some top notch loaded hot dogs and loaded nachos, and Big Grillie Style, an absolute haven for anyone who likes their meals with cheese and lots of it!

Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair

The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is often cited as the most glamourous car boot in the country. Originated and produced by Karen Ashton, a curator and independent art consultant, the one-day art fair and car boot attracts some of the biggest names from the art world selling off some of their works at extraordinary prices.
Participation as an artist in the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is by invitation only, so we’re talking the best of the best. This year’s event in Hasting will attract the likes of Quentin Blake, Tracey Emin and John Cooper Clarke, among others. The event also works with up and coming artists, so if you’ve got a keen eye you might just find the next Van Gogh!

Eye For Colour Exhibition

For those in the North-West who need to occupy some little ones, having been seen by a more than a million people across Europe, the Eye For Colour exhibition returns to the World Museum for its 10th anniversary.
This family-friendly exhibition is packed with hands-on exhibits and interactive displays, exploring the endless ways in which colour shapes our world. You’ll learn how colour is formed, how artists use colour in creativity and how animals use colour as camouflage.

Tahini – Middle Eastern Cuisine

If you’re looking for a new dining experience then Birmingham’s Custard Factory is the place to be this Saturday. Another Pop Up in Digbeth are offering a delicious 7 course Middle Eastern tasting menu inspired by classic Greek, Persian and Moroccan dishes.
The Custard Factory will be filled with a varied selection of the most mouth-watering spiced Eastern tastes, colours and smells. The dishes on the menu includes the likes of Arabian Fried Fish served with a Middle Eastern styled salsa, and Fillet of beef and Stifardo sauce.
