Things to Do This Weekend in London
DrinkUp: The Wine Edit
Thursday 8th – Saturday 10th June. £15.
It’s London Wine Week this week, and while avoiding drinking on a school night is admirable, there’s no excuse to missing the vast array of events taking place this weekend. The highlight being DrinkUp: The Wine Edit, a giant picturesque pop-up vineyard serving stunning varieties from across Europe at the Oval Space in east London.
The Oval Space will be decked out into a summer garden complete with an outside ‘Rogue Terrace’, where you can grab a slice of the Aussie beach lifestyle with fresh and vibrants coolers and spritzes while DJs pump out classic tunes from old vinyls playing Soul, Funk and Disco. There are four sessions throughout the weekend; Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday day and Saturday night.

World Naked Bike Ride
Saturday 10th June. Free.
What started as a protest against oil dependency and the evils of car emissions has now turned it to one big naked-fest. Yes, World Naked Bike Ride Day hits the capital this weekend as Joes and Janes old and young hit the streets of the capital wearing nothing but two wheels.
Now in its 14th year, the route for 2017 will have seven start points: Tower Hill, Regents Park, Kings Cross, West Norwood, Hyde Park, Clapham Junction, and Kew Bridge. All the routes merge for the main event which passes Westminster Bridge onwards. Don’t forget to wear your suntan!
Things to Do This Weekend in Manchester
GRUB Food Fair
Fridays & Saturday, Midday – 10pm. Free.
GRUB Food Fair has long been one of Manchester’s best street food staples, and this weekend it’s moving into its new home at Mayfield. The food fair will run every Friday and Saturday at the new site behind Piccadilly Station, starting this Friday 9th June. With a huge range of beer, wine and street food traders, GRUB has grown into one of the party venues in Manc.
The traders at GRUB change on a daily/weekendly basis, so head over to their Twitter feed to keep an eye on who’s around. But to give you a taste of what you can expect, this weekend will see the likes of Mac Daddies and their loaded mac & cheeses, The Ottö-Men with their mezze-inspired dishes, and What’s Your Beef? and their famed burgers.

Things to Do This Weekend in Leeds
Great Knaresborough Bed Race
Saturday 10th June. Free.
While it might be a good 40 minutes’ drive from Leeds, the Great Knaresborough Bed Race will undoubtedly be worth the trip. Part fancy dress pageant, part gruelling time trial, the annual Great Bed Race pits around 90 teams (each with 6 runners and 1 passenger) against one another over a 2.4 mile course while pushing along their individually decorated bed.
First staged in 1966, the Great Race attracts around 630 challengers each year, as well as thousands more spectators on the streets. In the morning, participating teams gather at Knaresborough Castle for the ‘Best Dressed Team’ accolade. This is then followed by a parade at 1pm through Knaresborough with the finale being the race. What more could you want from a Saturday?

Things to Do This Weekend in Glasgow
West End Festival Fiesta

Following a successful inauguration last year, Glasgow’s West End Festival Fiesta is back for its second year, bigger and better than before. 2016’s event saw established names likes Sister Sledge, Billy Ocean, De La Soul and many more take the stages of the iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand.
The 2017 edition of West End Fiesta will feature International headliners, such as Kool & the Gang and Chic with Nile Rodgers, as well as support from a host of Scottish bands & DJ’s. Naturally, there’ll also be a whole host of gourmet street-food vendors and craft beers on offer, as well as a cocktail bar.
