Forever on the search for the most interesting abodes on the planet, take a look at this luxury prefab dwelling designed to be placed in areas of natural beauty. Called the LumiPod, it’s made by French glazers Lumicene and is being billed as your very own 4-Star Hotel Room in the middle of nature.
With a total size of 183-square-feet, the LumiPod can be assembled in two days and is designed to be your very own piece of luxe living with a view chosen specifically by you. Characterised by its curved entry door, the pod consists of a bedroom and bathroom, and comes with plenty of bespoke features and finishes depending on your taste.
The LumiPod’s entrance leads straight into the bedroom, which comes with a suspended bed, a wardrobe and a curved rod around the entrance which allows for blackout curtains. Behind the bedroom, you’ll find a fully-equipped bathroom with a sink, a toilet and a shower enclosed by a glass wall.
Design-wise, the pod is clad with plywood by default, while Japanese shou-sugi-ban panels on the exterior keep things in touch with nature. The LumiPod is also connected to electricity, water and wastewater networks, as well as coming with a Mitsubishi MSZ-SF42VE 4.2kW reversible air conditioning system to manage both heating and cooling.
According to the Website, the LumiPod takes 2 to 4 months to manufacture depending on the level of finishing required and just 2 days to assemble (minus foundations and networks which need to be prepared in advance).
