It’s been quite the start to 2017 for Eugenie Bouchard. Not only has she moved up the singles rankings thanks to a strong showing at the WTA event in Sydney and reaching the round of 32 at the Australian Open, she also made headlines after going on a date with a fan thanks to a lost Super Bowl bet. Now, the stunning Canadian tennis star has wowed us with her first appearance in Sports Illustrated’s famed Swimsuit Edition for 2017.
Yes, Genie Bouchard was revealed as one of the first athletes for this year’s SI Swimsuit Edition and quite frankly she looks incredible. Photographed by Emmanuelle Hauguel in Turks & Caicos, Sports Illustrated have released a number of images with Bouchard donning a number of different swimsuits.
Bouchard made headlines a few weeks ago after losing a bet with a fan on Twitter. John Goehrke, a 20-year old student from Missouri, asked the 22-year old if she’d go on a date with him if the Patriots won the Super Bowl. As the Pats were down 28-3 at that point, Bouchard agreed to the bet.
Queue the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. True to her word, Bouchard and Goehrke went on their date to a Brooklyn Nets game on Wednesday with Bouchard saying they’ll be a second date. And we’re not jealous one bit. Nope.
Bouchard isn’t the only tennis player to appear in the latest Swimsuit Issue with Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki also featured, as well as fellow athletes American gymnasts Simone Biles and Aly Raisman. As for the cover, Kate Upton graces it for the third time.
