Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos in Interview Magazine
Since the release of “Blue is the Warmest Colour”, actresses Léa Seydoux & Adèle Exarchopoulos are causing somewhat of a stir. The mould breaking French film was the recipient of the Palme d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and it was the scenes involving the two main protagonists which has captured the attention of the press and public alike.
Described quite poignantly as “The most explosively graphic lesbian sex scenes in recent memory” the sensual nature of the film has been captured in an editorial shoot in Interview Magazine. Captured in black and white with soft lighting and heavy shadow, the pictures convey a sexual tension and angsts undertones of the movie.
Based on the graphic novel “Le Bleu Est une Couleur Chaude” by Julie Maroh, the meeting of, evolving relationship and erotic awakening of a 15 year old girl and her lover unravelling throughout 3 hours of screen time including a seven minute (yes seven minute) sex scene and a full blown bitch slap.
“Blue is the Warmest Colour” is certainly one to keep an eye on, and the movie is set to open in the UK on 22nd November.
