We know we’re late to the party but we’ve finally got round to watching Peaky Blinders and unsurprisingly we are absolutely loving it. Yes, we’re always going to be interested in the tailoring but it’s mainly the shows characters that keep us tuning in. And one character we’re interested in more than most is Ada Shelby (formerly Thorne), played by the gorgeous Sophie Rundle.
Playing the younger sister of Tommy, Arthur and John, Sophie Rundle plays Ada in Peaky Blinder. But while she’s now most famed for her role in the Birmingham gangster drama, chances are you would have caught a glimpse of Bournemouth-born Sophie Rundle in loads of other British TV dramas.
Having joined the Peaky Blinders cast in 2013, Rundle recently appeared as code-breaker Lucy in the ITV drama series The Bletchley Circle, as Honoria Barbary in Dickensian and she also played Alice in Sky 1’s 2017 drama Jamestown.
She first started her career in the British horror comedy film Small Town Folk in 2007 opposite Warwick Davis, before starring in ITV’s 2012 four-part miniseries, Titanic. Later that year, she starred in the BBC’s Merlin and guest-starred as Labia in the British/American sitcom Episodes opposite Matt LeBlanc and Stephen Mangan.
You’ll be seeing a lot more of Sophie Rundle in the future too! Later this year, she’ll play wealthy heiress Ann Walker in the upcoming production between BBC One and HBO titled Gentleman Jack, and she’s also just been cast as Princess Diana for an upcoming film as part of Sky Arts’ Urban Myths series.
Also part of our ‘Who’s That Girl’ series, we take a look at The Inbetweeners’ Kacey Clarke, otherwise known as Neil’s hot sister.
