adidas Originals Archive Dragon
Online retailer Size? have yet again delved into the archives of adidas with the re-release of an absolute beauty. Feast your eyes on the Size? exclusive, gorgeous adidas Originals Archive Dragon.
First a little history… originally developed back in 1971 by adidas Germany, the adidas Dragon was a creation predominantly aimed at the American market. Alongside the Trimm-Master and the SL72, it was one of the sports giant’s first nylon running shoes.
The original version of the Dragon didn’t feature the iconic adidas T overlay on the toe, but was later modified in 1976 to feature a rubber toe bumper, becoming the Dragon silhouette that we recognise today. The Dragon soon became on icon with reggae and rock ‘n roll artists donning the trainers.
Well, after a little lay-off, the Dragon returns this summer pretty much in the same vein as the original. The faithful and street-ready reissue pays tribute to its athletic roots, as well as subtlety nodding to the mythical creature from which it borrows its name with colourway options of Power Red and Collegiate Green.
The Size? Exclusive adidas Originals Archive Dragon will be available over at the Size? Website and in selected Size? stores from Saturday 6th August. You’ll be able to bag a pair at £70.
