adidas Originals Drop ‘Oktoberfest’-Inspired München Trainers
There’s only one item of clothing we’ll be wearing this Oktoberfest and it’s not Dirndl or leather pants. No, adidas Originals have gone and released a special edition trainer for the German beer festival and they’re a thing of beauty. Introducing the adidas ‘Oktoberfest’ München trainers.
Since 1810, the Bavarian capital has hosted the largest folk festival in the world. The September festival has turned its local tradition into a global institution with millions heading to German each year. Well, adidas have honoured that traditional with a brand new version of their famed München silhouette.
Leave your Lederhosen at home, you’ll be singing and dancing on tables with your Three Stripes this Oktoberfest. Inspired by the Bavarian leather pants, the adidas Originals München ‘Oktoberfest’ comes with high-quality leather and premium materials.
Made with engineering only the Germans are famed for, the adidas Originals München ‘Oktoberfest’ features leather with a DPBR coating which is not only water-repellent but also beer-repellent – so perfect for withstanding those unwanted dropped steins!
The rich brown colourway of the sneaker is combined with three light brown stripes and speckled laces. But there’s also plenty of detailing, with bright embroidery on the heel cap to match your Lederhose, and discreet golden ‘Prost’ (German for ‘Cheers’) lettering next to the three stripes.
Made in partnership with German sneaker shop 43einhalb, the adidas Originals München ‘Oktoberfest’ is available now over at the adidas Website for £159.95.
