adidas Originals’ Ninety-Two Honours Man Utd’s Class of ’92
If you’re a Manchester United fan and need a little pick-me-up following the defeat at Stamford Bridge yesterday, we’ve got the perfect tonic for you. Take a look at these gorgeous adidas Original Ninety-Two trainers, designed commemorate the 25th anniversary of United’s famed class of ’92.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Man Utd’s incredible class of ’92, which boasted the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt, the limited edition adidas Originals release celebrates the footballers who would go on to define a golden age of British football and the Manchester giants.
The Ninety-Two trainers is the third adidas Originals and Manchester United collaboration following the success of the Stretford, inspired by the 1968 European Cup winning team, and last year’s Ashington, which celebrated 60 years since Sir Bobby Charlton debuted for the club.
2017’s United and Three Stripes collab sees the upper using a quintessentially United red material, linking the trainer back to the original home shirt worn in 1992. Not only that, the insole also links to the iconic era, with a printed pattern taken from the away jersey famously worn by the likes of Ryan Giggs. The shoe is finished off with golden ‘Ninety – Two’ lettering on the tongue.
The adidas Originals Ninety-Two trainer in collaboration with Manchester United is available now with only 1,992 pairs on offer. Each pair is individually numbered 1 – 1992 and will set you back £92 on the adidas Website, and in selected Size? and adidas stores.
