Aether x Salt Scout Sunglasses

Summer is here! And we say you need a durable and slick pair of sunglasses. Even though the suns is in our eyes, we can’t take our eyes off these Scout sunglasses from Aether x Salt. The collaboration between New York-based Aether and Southern Californian luxury eyewear brand Salt is designed for the Joe who’s drawn to adventure.

Created with the motorcyclist in mind but sleek enough to be worn by an urban Joe in the city, the slightly rounded frame boasts lightweight, beta-titanium frames with nearly unbreakable temples that are flexible enough to be easily taken on and off while wearing a helmet.

The Scout’s titanium nose pads help keep the glasses in place, providing a comfortable, secure fit that requires little-to-no adjustment while in motion. To maximize visibility, the Scout features windshields and an extended frame-top, which Aether say reduces wind flow and peripheral sunlight by more than 80 percent.

The holes in the windshields aren’t just for cosmetic pleasure either, they’ve been strategically placed to ensure peripheral vision is not obstructed when riding. The lenses both have a polarized filter as well to block glare and a photochromic filter that automatically darkens to suit the light conditions, guaranteeing clearer vision no matter the location.

Aether and Salt have constructed eyewear to specifically solve the optical problems that matter when you’re performing the fastest and in-your-face activities: visibility and comfort. There’s four colour options: Black Tortoise, Gold/Brown, Black/White and Black Sand. For us, we think the Black Tortoise frame would go with anything!

Regardless if you’re an adrenaline Joe or not, the Aether x Salt Scout sunglasses look immaculate with a timeless design. They’re not available until the 15th June but get over to the Aether Apparel Website where they’ll set you back around £390. Not cheap but this is a premium design produced in the highest quality.
