Best Men’s Christmas Jumpers 2016
Many may sneer at them, but we absolutely love a Christmas jumper. Warm, snug and one of rare occasions you can dress like a child without anyone batting an eyelid – what’s not to like!? Here’s some of favourite Christmas jumpers for 2016.
Polar Bear Christmas Jumper
Where: John Lewis
Our favourite Christmas jumper on the affordable side of town this year is this polar bear-inspired knit from John Lewis. Crafted from a soft 45% lambswool blend (so you know it’s warm), the jumper is fitted with long sleeves and a crew neckline for the perfect winter fit. The quirky polar bear won’t be everyone but if you can’t wear a polar bear at Yuletide, when can you!?
Snowflake Design Jumper
Along similarly snow-capped lines, we also love this snowflake design jumper in Grey from Asos. There’s plenty of options as always on Asos but if you want the fun without the tack, we think this is your winner. And to be honest, we see no reason this can’t be warn all year round!
Fair Isle Knit Pullover
Where: Scotch Soda
For something with a little more colour and at the higher end of our scale, we love this Knit Pullover by Fair Isle. Using the Fair Isle knitting technique, this warm wool blend pullover features a suitably colourful Nordic pattern, with raglan sleeves and contrasting stripes at the cuffs for a sporty touch.
Star Wars X-Wing Christmas Jumper
Where: Geek Core
Now, we know that pulling off a successful Christmas jumper can sometimes feel like the Battle of Yavin, but we say go the full hog and always be true to yourself… With that in mind, geeks out there – how about this Star Wars X-Wing Christmas jumper? With the power of the Force and a bottle of cognac by your side, take on the Tie Fighters and the Death Stars of Christmas with this warm and cosy festive sweater.
Black Yellow Bear Christmas Jumper
Where: River Island
Another jumper, another bear. We like this midweight knitted polar bear number from River Island mainly because of its unusual Yellow/Black colour scheme. It’s also a bargain at £25.
The London Knitwear Company Plum Christmas Jumper
If knitted patterns aren’t your style then you’d be forgiven for thinking there’s not a Christmas jumper out there for you. But fear not and think outside the box. Something like this slogan Plum-coloured top from The London Knitwear Company is more subtle, arguably more comfortable, and will still keep things nice and festive!
F&F Fair Isle Shawl Collar Cardigan
If you’re not into your crew necks, it can be very difficult to find yourself a festive sweater with a V. So much so, that we actually couldn’t find a V-neck Christmas jumper to put in our guide! But we did come across this Fair Isle Shawl Collar Cardigan from Tesco’s F&F. In a soft, seasonal Fair Isle knit, the cardigan comes with a comfy shawl collar and ribbed edging, two front pockets and large marbled buttons.
Charity Christmas Snow Scene Jumper
Where: John Lewis
The final Christmas jumper to make our list is another from John Lewis – only this time it’s in partnership with Barnado’s charity. £10 from the sale of each Christmas Snow Scene jumper will go straight to the charity, who care for some of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people. Crafted from a soft lambswool blend with ribbing to the hem, cuffs and crew neckline, its quirky snow scene weave is sure to spread some festive cheer.
